Redrix Broadsword Steps

  • Redrix’s Broadsword Step 1: In the Crucible. Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifle final blows. Step 2: Reach Valor Rank “Heroic” Step 3: In the Crucible. Earn 75 Double Plays. Step 4: In the Crucible. Defeat 150 opponents with precision final blows from any Pulse Rifle. Step 5: In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents.
  • Ricochet Rounds are not needed because Extended Barrel+Counterbalance Stock maxes the recoil. Head shots for 33 damage per bullet with a 3 round burst. Down side is the insanely low drop rate after you complete the steps. About 1 in 100 for a random roll redrix. 1k voices has a higher drop rate. Do not challenge this gun jack rabbiting, you.
  • Claymore is shelved on the 4th. (Twitter)

To complete this step, you need to score 200 kills with Pulse Rifles in any Crucible. I recently decided to grind for the first pinnacle weapon added to Destiny 2, Redrix's Broadsword. The quest can be quite intimidating, but follow my tips to.

  • SBMM isn't on in Quickplay. (Twitter)

Hey all,
Yesterday, we announced the goal of removing time pressure associated with Glory ranks, and that Pinnacle Crucible rewards will be awarded via quests starting in Season 4.
Redrix’s Claymore will remain exclusive to Season 3. The Redrix’s Broadsword will be available through a pinnacle weapon questline in Season 4 offered by Lord Shaxx. To set expectations, here are the quest steps that must be completed in order to acquire Redrix’s Broadsword:

Step 1:
• In the Crucible. Defeat 200 opponents with Pulse Rifle final blows.
Step 2:
• Reach Valor Rank “Heroic”
Step 3:
• In the Crucible. Earn 75 Double Plays.
Step 4:
• In the Crucible. Defeat 150 opponents with precision final blows from any Pulse Rifle.
Step 5:
• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Arc final blows
• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Solar final blows
• In the Crucible, defeat 50 opponents with Void final blows
Step 6:
• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Quickplay (Rotators count)
• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Competitive
• Complete 25 Crucible matches in Rumble
Step 7:
• Complete 20 Crucible Bounties
Step 8:
• Reset your Valor rank 5 times within a single season
Step 9:
• Visit Lord Shaxx and claim your reward. (Forums)

Q. Does resetting your valor rank counts retroactively. For example if i reset the rank 2 times before the step does it count for the quest step or no?

Nope. (Twitter) (See below under 'Kevin' for more on this)

  • Valor Rank resets only count during the season in which you have the quest in your inventory. Past resets will NOT count towards this. (Twitter)
  • Any rank related objective can be completed anytime during the season and will count once you hit a step that requires it. Making Valor progress during the early steps still makes progress towards the later step. So capitalize on those booster weekends and the changes to Valor win streaks in Competitive. If you keep grinding Comp you’ll get a full Valor streak and keep it even on loss.(Twitter)

Q. Does this mean that if I reset my valor twice while working on the quest it’ll count towards the later step? Believe you said no in this case? Just kinda confused with this.

It will still count so long as all 5 are done in the same season. This is only the case with the rank objectives. (Twitter)

Q. Am I right in thinking that theoretically if I am at the reset valor stage but do not complete it in season 4 I can do it in season 5?

Correct! (Twitter)

Q. Let's say while a player completes step 1, does that produce progress on step 4 once they reach it? Or is it a clean slate for each step?

Redrix Broadsword Steps

Clean slate. Earn it. (Twitter)

Q. Are all quest steps available to complete? or do i need to complete step 1 to access step 2?

Step by step. (Twitter)

Q. After getting my Claymore I went into comp solo and am now at 2090, I take it I'll still get the emblem tied to getting the Claymore/reaching fabled or do I need to get back to 2100?

Just getting Claymore and hitting Fabled is enough. Deranking will not hurt that. (Twitter)

Redrix Broadsword Quest in Destiny 2: Redrix Broadsword is a fabulous kinetic pulse rifle that was released in Season 4 of Destiny 2. It is the companion gun to the uber-rare Redrix’s claymore, which less than 1% of players have ever received. It is capable of a 2-burst kill if you can manage to activate the desperate perk. That is how good of a weapon it is. Therefore in this article, we are gonna talk about Redrix Broadsword Quest Steps in Destiny 2 and the latest Destiny 2 update 2.1.4.

Redrix Broadsword Quest Steps

Redrix Broadsword Quest Steps are given by the gamers who are on the good level in the game just follow these steps to unlock Redrix Broadsword Quest in Destiny 2.

Step 1: Get 200 Pulse Rifle final blows

You have to get “200 Pulse Rifle final blows” in any Crucible playlist. These need to be killed, not just damaged. Players can use just about any Pulse Rifle for this step but we recommend you either use Graviton Lance or Inaugural address. The Inaugural address has outlaw and kills clip which makes it the best weapon to use in PvP.

Graviton Lance has a black hole perk that does High Damage on the 3rd shot and features an Explosive payload. Only use Vigilance Wing if you have the complete Auto catalyst. However, there are other Pulse Rifles such as the Go Figure, Three Graves, or the Marine.

Step 2: Reach Heroic Valor Rank

In this Redrix Broadsword Quest Steps, you are required to reach “Heroic” Valor Rank. Then you have to play Crucible and rank up until you reach Heroic. We recommend you to play “Rumble” to rank up easily. The Rumble playlist requires you to place in the top 3 positions to count as a win.

So just try to place in the top 3 to get a wins streak to get bonus points. Stacking the win streak 5 times will give you bonus points. This will make it easier to complete this step. If players have reset their rank before, then this quest will auto-complete after they complete a Crucible match.

Step 3: Earn 75 double plays in the Crucible

Here you need to get “75 double kills” in Crucible. I know this sounds like a lot of work but don’t worry you don’t need a kill just try to land as many shots as you can in multiple guardians. Even if your teammates manage to kill them later, that will award you with the double kill medal. You can also use a Rocket launcher, Telesto or Thunderlord.

Step 4: Defeat 150 opponents

In this step, you need to “defeat 150 opponents” with precision final blows from any Pulse Rifle. I recommend you to use Graviton Lance because it is easier to get a headshot.

Step 5: Defeat 50 opponents each with Arc, Solar and Void final blows

In these steps, you need to “defeat 50 opponents with Arc, Solar, Void final blows” in the Crucible. This means there are 150 opponents in total. Just make sure you use all your efforts and get as many kills as you can. You can set your loud out to match these elements and get kills with any weapon either guns or grenades.

Step 6: Complete 25 Crucible matches

Here you need to “complete 25 Crucible matches” in Quickplay, Rumble, and Competitive modes. Do not worry you don’t need to win them to unlock Redrix broadsword. You can listen to some podcasts while you are at it.

Step 7: Complete 20 Crucible bounties

This one will take some time maybe like 3 days. This is because Shaxx offers 5 bounties per day and you will need to “complete 20 Crucible bounties” to reach the next step. Although, if you can manage to reset your rank 5 times and complete this step. The next step will just auto-complete and then you can move straight to step 9.

However, you can start saving completed bounties before you reach this step. So you don’t have to wait several days to complete this Redrix Broadsword Quest Steps.

Step 8: Reset your Valor rank 5 times within a Single Season

Players need to “Reset your Valor rank 5 times within a single season”. Don’t get stuck and be discouraged thinking it is hectic. All you need is to play the Rumble playlist and try to stack a 5 times win streak to get bonus points. A single reset requires you to earn at least 2000 Valor points. So that’s 10000 Valor points for 5 resets. Play Rumble, I repeat it so that you can hit 5 times win streaks as much as possible to speed things up.

Step 9: Unlocking Redrix Broadsword (The End)

Here you’re ready, just visit Lord Shaxx and unlock Redrix’s Broadsword.

Redrix Broadsword Quest Latest Patch

Redrix Broadsword Steps Retroactive

Destiny 2 update 2.1.4 which has been released on January 29th. It has big changes to super and weapon balance as well as several usability complaints. It addresses destiny 2’s oldest problems such as day one power hoarding. The major feature of this update is the exotic quests. Each time a new season is kicked off, the bounties acquired during previous seasons will have a maximum possible power reward. As a result, players will no longer be able to fly up the power ladder on day one of the new seasons.

The new bounty reward system incentivizes all players to try out the new content. This, therefore, means you should complete or discard any powerful bounties you have before new seasons kick off, otherwise you will miss out on the uncapped versions of those bounties. This system is tied to seasons, no DLCs. This addresses stock-piles of raid keys.

This update 2.1.4 on the long-awaited improvements. It makes the quest to unlock the Redrix’s broadsword Pulse Rifle easy for average players. The question still requires you to max out and reset your quick play Crucible rank five times in a single season. However, in this update, previous seasons will now count towards this step. This is all for Redrix Broadsword Quest if you have any queries then do comment down below.
